Dermal Filler Injection Techniques
Tunneling technique:
The tunnelling technique is the method of choice for most aestheticians. It entails inserting the needle at a 30-45 degree angle in the direction of the wrinkles or lines that need to be treated. During the removal of the needle, the filler is injected.
It can be used to treat both visible wrinkles and deep-set lines, as well as areas with widespread volume loss. Tunneling is also thought to be the safest and most natural-looking method of injecting fillers.
Stretching technique :
This procedure is commonly used to fill in parts where there is a huge amount of loose skin. While the filler is injected, the skin around the targeted wrinkle is stretched. Stretching accentuates the wrinkle being addressed by putting tension on it. Because the wrinkle is now more exposed, this combination of stretching and pressure makes it easier to put the needle at specified and desired angles.
The point technique:
This procedure is also known as droplet, serial, or multi-puncture is used to inject fillers into the deeper layers of the skin. Rather than injecting all of the fillers at once it involves injecting many little droplets of the fillers 2-4 mm apart, into these deeper layers. These little droplet injections are spaced close together to fill creases and smooth out outlines.
This procedure helps to fill huge empty areas in the deep tissues of the face, in addition to treating discrete wrinkles. It enhances the skin's natural fullness, moisture, and overall attractiveness.
